So here are the six pencils that I made for Christmas presents. I made all of them out of the same pattern, but I varied the diameter of the blanks as well as the type of wood I used.

This is my favorite pencil. It is one of the thicker pencils I made, but I like this wood the best.

These are a couple of pictures that Mr. Conners took of me tuning the blanks on the lathe and I thought they were fun because you can see the progression of the blanks from a circle to taking it's shape.

This picture shows the blanks when they're rounded off but still have no shape.

This one shows how the blank is starting to take shape.
